This right here is a mighty fine micro-tomographic image taken at high pressure and temperature, from a recent experiment my advisor conducted at Argonne’s Advanced Photon Source (APS).  The experiment was basically identical to the one I conducted last spring and the sample is the same olivine+FeS mixture I prepared and synthesized in the piston-cylinder at RPI.  Unfortunately I couldn’t join her this time at APS.  I love that place!  But I am including the permeability results from the images in my thesis…so I should probably continue working on that, heh heh.
