Here’s the final product (which looks better in person, I swear) - a stylized strombolian eruption

Almost done…drying in the sun. BEIN’ WATCHED.
PS - this paper sucks. Horrible for blending
First layer of the foreground painted…with the inspiration in the back-background!

One background layer done! I’m kind of nervous though because this isn’t the best watercolour paper, so I’m worried that the colours will bleed into one another even after one is dried. I guess I will find out..

Ahahaha, well never mind. I guess this is a testament to how little I paint nowadays. Ok, so I’m going to have to very carefully paint the background around the foreground.
Since I’m so bored and working with watercolour involves a lot of waiting, I’m going to record my progress. So, waiting for this to dry and then I’m going to cover the yellow area with masking fluid. I won’t say what it is yet, but you might be able to tell.

The best father ever, and me
I am getting sad thinking about how I don’t paint/draw anymore

Tired, bored, alone, hallucinating, etc.
I couldn’t stop thinking about this jalapeno popper sandwich that I saw on Gastrogirl’s tumblr the other day, so I had to make it. Jalapenos, Velveeta cheese, and cream cheese grilled to deliciousness.

I’m reminiscing about the days when I would do art in my free time.
These were done on a really awesome sketchbook my sister got me, with pencil, marker, and thread in one. I randomly picked quotes from books like Cosmos and I forgot what else, because quotes in drawings are cool right?
